UMi-TWINN kick-off meeting - February 2016
The kick-off meeting was held at the University of Miskolc (UMi) in Hungary the 4-5 February 2016. It was important to organise the kick-off meeting within the coordinator's premises in order to meet the Hungarian team involved in the project, visit the different laboratories and promote the socio-economic benefits of UMi-TWINN project to the Hungarian targeted audiences (e.g. scientific, industrial and general public).
The kick-off meeting was a real success and we can decently expect very good results for the project based on the motivation of partners and their willingness to develop a fruitful cooperation on a long-term basis. All the objectives of the kick-off meeting were achieved during these two days as presented below:

- The meeting started with a press conference local/national TV channels and newspapers. Therefore the project was promoted to a wide national audience.
- The institute of Logistics at UMi was well represented during the meeting: scientific staff, PhD students, administrative officers.
- UMi organised a site visit of their laboratories specialised in logistics technologies (e.g. 3D virtual logistics laboratory, simulation modelling lab and high-tech integrated logistics lab).
- UMi organised a visit of Bosch Company and their logistics systems. This activity was highly interesting for partners and they realised the importance of this field of S&T for the region of Miskolc.
- The vice rector at UMi, Dr. Zsuzsanna Óváriné Balajti, as well as the deputy mayor of Miskolc city, Mr Gábor Kiss, showed their support to the UMi-TWINN project by participating to the kick-off meeting.
- All partners actively participated to the discussion and organisation of project's activities during the forthcoming year. The consortium has an excellent dynamic and all partners are enthusiasts to work together on a professional and personal basis.
