EU-Latin America Cooperation Agreement
Prof. Bela Illes (coordinator of the UMi-TWINN project) and two other representatives from the Institute of Logistics at UMi, participated to the 9th International Scientific Conference of Mechanical Engineering organised by the Universidad Central de Las Villas (Cuba) and the University Otto-von-Guericke, Magdeburg (Germany). The COMEC 2016 event took place in in Villa Clara the 13-16 November 2016.
The University of Miskolc largely contributed to the COMEC 2016 conference as Prof. Illes was invited to join the Organization Committee while UMi staff has submitted not less than 14 scientific papers that have been accepted by the scientific committee. Among the presentations made during the conference, UMi had the opportunity to promote the UMi-TWINN project activities, partners and objectives. It was the occasion to target a broader pool of experts in the field of logistics technologies from Latin America, Europe and worldwide.
Prior his participation to the COMEC 2016 conference, Prof. Illes was is close contact with several international research organisations to develop joint cooperation in sciences and technologies while stimulating the student and staff exchanges. As a result, Prof. Illes signed the "Latin American and Central European Consortium of Research and Higher Education Cooperation" agreement on the 15th of November 2016, together with representatives from:
