The UMi-TWINN consortium is composed of four excellent partners specialised in logisitics technologies, innovation and technology transfer.

The Institute of Logistics has a wide range of BSc and MSc educational activities at three different Faculties of UMi - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering - as well as Doctoral Schools of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology. As an evidence of the popularity of logistics topics, more than 100 students prepare theses on logistics every year.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation (IFF) is an independent research institute geared toward production engineering in the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. It is a research provider and systems and technology partner to major industry and small and medium-sized enterprises in manufacturing and service sectors as well as the public sector. The institute is a member of national and international industry and research networks and cooperates closely with Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.

Graz University of Technology pursues top teaching and research in the fields of science and engineering for more than 200 years. The Institute of Logistics Engineering focuses on the classic problems of logistics planning for the intra- and distribution logistics and the associated engineering design of logistic systems. The Institute is working in the fields of product development, CAE, design and calculation of logistic devices and systems.
